Our Story
Kabula Diaries is a journal — one that writes itself through curated creative events.
Within its pages, music, poetry, film, theatre, and visual art come together, each moment a line, each gathering a story — from landmark events like The Kabula Festival, to curated spaces for dialogue such as the Kabula Creative Convention, and the many unique art experiences we host month after month.
What remains is a shared dream — a global community of thinkers, change-makers, and creative problem-solvers coming together through the beauty of art. And with each page turned, the story continues, open to all who wish to be part of it.

The Beginning
Kabula diaries was founded in Blantyre.
First Major Event, Q-Malewezi
We hosted our first major event, a poetry and Open Mic event with 500 attendees.
Mushroom Shade in Cinema
We hosted our first major cinema with the launch of Mushroom Shade season finale premier.
Eli Njuchi
A breathtaking perfomance from the Hive and Eli njuchi.
Creative Convention
Established a platform to support emerging creative talents with inspiration, branding, insights and growth strategies.
Mufasa 2024 in Cinema
We hosted our first major cinema with the launch of Mushroom Mufasa 2024.
